The Queen of England most definitely heard the beat of our dhol drums on Friday the 15th of May when we escorted Jamie, our beautiful Princess bride past Windsor castle to the Windsor Parish where she married her handsome groom Sean. It is the first time we have performed in a Church and it was such a delightful and unique experience for us playing the bride down the aisle. Our drums echoed loudly and the guests were all very excited by Jamieโs grand Bollywood entrance.
The only thing that upstaged our performance was how amazing Jamie and Sean looked and also not forgetting the stunning bridesmaids :-).
We sat and witnessed the whole service which was very emotional and beautiful. After they were pronounced husband and wife, we escorted Jamie, Sean and their honourary guests to the reception party giving Windsor another opportunity to try out their Bollywood moves. But started off with a quick #selfie with Mr and Mrs Francis.
Here is a lovely message we received from them:
Queen Elizabeth II, we sincerely hope that you enjoyed the sound of our drums and really hope that you took the opportunity to tap your foot or better still, change a few light bulbs!
Congratulations Jamie and Sean!ย Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
xoxo
